Trenton Defeats Riverview 91-84.
First-place finishes for Trenton came from Pek, Wojtala, Kuehn and Emily Kemp.
Thackeray finished first in diving with 208.95 points followed by Maddie Moody and Sidney Watson in second and third, respectively.
Other second- and third-place finishes came from Passerman, Wilste, Day and Sophia Karoutsos.
Riverview took first in half of the 12 events and finished one-two-three in the back and breast.
The Bucs swept the relays during the meet.
The 200 medley relay of Dana Parker, Nicole Karl, Norma Lee and Zoe Kissel finished in 1:59.66.
The same team finished the 200 free relay in 1:47.08 and the 400 free relay team of Erin Davis, Lee, Erica Magnuson and Kristina Nunez finished in 4:39.13.
Individual first place finishes came from Kissel in the 50 free (27.10), Alison Karl in the back (1:10.82), and Nicole Karl in the breast (1:14.70).
Lauren Cosme-Reyna, finished fourth in the 100 free but swam a personal best time.
According to Coach Mark Buchanan, the Bucs went into the meet geared up specifically to make a state cut and break a varsity record.
The girls were able to secure a state cut in the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay broke the school varsity record.
“This was very exciting and the whole team was pumped up,” Buchanan said. “It was a great night for us and has really set the tone for the last part of the season.”
